The observant among you may recall that a couple months back we made a bit of noise about welcoming Chris Porto (AKA Crazybee) into our group of writers here at Twitch. Chris was to be helping out with news from Hong Kong but, after a couple initial posts, he vanished into the ether.
So what happened? Where'd he go? Well, while we were all sitting around talking about movies, Chris went out and actually made one. Luke's Father & The Sled is a low budget, largely student affair and, I believe, a first effort from Chris and most of those involved. They've just wrapped the shoot and Chris, brave man that he is, is inviting feedback from all of us Twitch folk. So check it out.

Teaser (downloadable MP4).
Nice job, man ... I know you've been working towards this for a long time and it's good you made it through ...
Thanks a lot for the support, Todd, and I hope you guys enjoy the teaser trailer that we just put online last night. I know how many people here are really smart and know their stuff, and I'd really appreciate some comments from the Twitch regulars.
And hey, that's me (wearing the bandana, holding the Figrig) in the pic!
As for me writing for Twitch, I'd like to apologize for my inactivity. I'm going through a lot of stuff right now, and I've got to get myself sorted because I'm heading back to Columbia in the Fall and there's a lot of work to be done for that. I hope I can get my stuff together in the next month or two, and continue my writing on film.
Thanks for the support, guys!
No comments? Come on, fellas!
:(
Looks sweet! It's got a bit of a clerk's vibe to it, but a much slicker look to it than Kevin Smiths flick...
If you want to send out a rough cut when you get to that point, I'd certainly love to check it out...
The title is a mouthful though (although I see where you are coming from!)
Hey Chris, do you go to Columbia College? I might see you around then......film looks good so far.
According to your blog, you guys shot at Butler - which is where I work! Too bad I didn't know you were on campus, coulda stopped by to say hi!
We definitely shot it at and around Butler University. You'll see Fairbanks in a lot of the non-theatre shots, anything that didn't require the interior of the theatre. Collin, do you know Zach Dehm? He directed the movie.
Dan, I went to Columbia for two years, and took a year off to make money and then work on this movie. I'm planning to go back in the Fall. What do you do there?
Crazybee is me, by the way...dunno why it chose that name instead of Chris, for the previous comment.
