I spotted a listing for this film playing at the Karlovy Vary Film Festival and keyed in on it purely because it was the latest from the director of Suicide Circle (known on these shores as Suicide Club), a film I'm not all that big on but one that has a good number of fans. Immediate question is whether there's a link between this film and his earlier, better known work and the answer is yep. Though word on the film itself is not so good:
"just watching this and yes, it is an indirect prequel to SUICIDE CLUB ... 30 mins in (it is 158 mins!) and suddenly, out of nowhere references SUICIDE CLUB with footage of the 54 girl subway jump. not crazy about it ... more about a girl's journey to the big city with constant narration which is so annoying ... Film is divided into chapters. Each one being the story of the founding members of the website?"
Stills? Links? Anyone?
Really? A prequel?
To be honest, I couldn't bring myself to like the original. But it'll be okay to see this when its available.
