Audrey Tautou Hands Batman His Ass.

Svet first brought The Russian Dolls - a French romantic comedy starring, among others, Amelie's Audrey Tautou - to our attention a while back and now a reader, Paul, has brought it back to my attention with this little morsel:

The Russian Dolls opened opposite Warner Brothers' comic behemoth Batman Begins (which is very, very good) to rather unexpected results. Despite opening on significantly less screens The Russian Dolls did nearly fifty per cent more business than Batman.

Rule of thumb: people, at least people in France, would rather see breasts than Christian Bale in a cape. Check the trailer here.
