New Flick Coming From Tsukamoto Collaborator Kei Fujiwara!

organ.jpgOooh ... some kind soul just passed this along to me ...

If you know Kei Fujiwara at all it is most likely thanks to her starring role in Shinya Tsukamoto's Tetsuo: The Iron Man but the pair's collaboration goes back farther than that with Fujiwara starring in Tsukamoto's earlier Adventures of Electric Rod Boy and Phantom of Regular Size. Back in '96 Fujiwara stepped behind the camera as writer and director of Organ, a film about the black market human organ trade. Well, she's back with a follow up ...

The film is titled Ido - a psychological term she describes as meaning "desire to seek for pleasures that reside at the bottom of everyone's heart" - and it will include at least two recurring characters from Organ, a police detective and a serial killing doctor. We'll post more as we find it ...

toughie to research : 藤原京 is kei fujiwara in japanese. but there are so many fujiwara names at imdb that i suspect the google searching is very "miss" and not so "hit"... apart from tetsuo and organ she has only (literally) been in a couple of things...

Isnt IDO an old movie from Fujiwara because the original japanese DVD of ORGAN features a special called "a digest of IDO directed by Kei Fujiwara" ? Im just wondering...

theres also a ORGAN 2 reel on the ORGAN dvd. but that was never completed as far as is known...

Her bar in Shimotakaido is quite cool. There's a large video projection screen usually showing something wild.
