Niiiiiiiiiiice ... the original batch of BMW films were just solid, solid pieces of work: a series of short films starring Clive Owen as the mysterious driver of BMW vehicles in shady operations with directors ranging from Wong Kar Wai, Tony Scott, Guy Ritchie, Ang Lee and John Woo taking turns at the helm. Well, I guess those went pretty well, because the company has done it again, this time in Korea with Musa director Kim Sung Su, 3 Iron's Kim Ki Duk, and music video director Cha Eun Taek.
Kim Sung Su's is a fourteen minute short titled Battle Lover, Kim Ki Duk turns in the nine minute Gobaek (Confession), while Cha Eun Taek's is titled simply with a chinese character. Those links will start things streaming in Windows Media format.

Wow, when I saw the headline, I thought we'd get to see more of Clive Owen's driver. I loved the BMW Films.
I know you could get those films for free on DVD from BMW dealerships in the states. I've always wanted those films to own.
I got a copy for free (well, $3 shipping) from the BMW website a couple years ago.
yea i bought one on the site as well, earlier this week actually. im excited.
I also paid the minimal shipping for my 'free' DVD of those films...I've watched them all 6-7 times by now, it is the disc I use to demo my Home Theatre.
The wkw one with Mickey Rourke and Forest Whitaker is my favorite, but they are all fantastic...(for the record the John Woo one is probably the weakest...which ties into a comment in the Woo news item earlier today).
Here's hoping we get a similar DVD release with english subs.
Ki Duk doesn't suprise me doing the BMW film because it seemed every vehicle in 3-Iron was a Beamer.
Maybe Ki Duk had already set this up before filming 3-Iron or he made some kinda dodgy deal with BMW cause there is a hell of alot of shots of the BMW badge on the bike.
