Following on from The Gomorrahizers post on the series from a while back, I was looking around for information on 'Loft' which is still short on the ground. Still, any new Kurosawa stuff is appreciated. I stumbled upon these pictures from the 60 minute film 「蟲たちの家」online here. You can also see shots of him making the film from the official site, which you can find if you nose at The Gomorrahizers original thing here.
A trailer, streaming and painfully slow is here, which seemed to only go online today. Not sure if it has any footage of the films in it as only got to the early part of it. Doesn't seem to want me to download it either.
The poster for the series is here on the left. I will stick the pictures here below to keep a record of them.

No, most of them are press-screeners or promo-versions. I don't download stuff anymore.
Tried to get some anime-fansub-geeks to subtitle some movies, but it seems like those guys are too busy subtitling Naruto part 18753². It's a shame.
so, share your wisdom. we want access to that kind of stuff - how come japanese companies send you stuff like that, you dont review it as far as i know. we could do with stuff like that coming to us for review...
The companies don't send me that stuff, but I have some pretty good contacts around the globe, as well as a good friend of mine who has tons of totally rare stuff.
I get the screeners from a guy I got to know when I was in Tokyo. Got "Gusher no binds me" subbed a week after its theatrical release last year. Same with Marebito, as you know. You wouldn't believe how much stuff there's available. Jam Films S and Female for example were subbed out there weeks before they hit the screens in Japan.
The thing is, I'm of course not allowed to give those versions to other people and since Twitch is one of the biggest things around right now, I don't want to risk something.
risk what? that we were able to review a film? how would anyone know its from a screener? it would just be a review of a film.... could at least be posted after / on cinema release. theres nothing to stop us achieving that.
Risk pissing the guy of who sends me the stuff.
Drop me a mail and we'll talk about it.
