New Tom Yum Goong 2nd trailer online!

(Posted In)

tygposter.jpgAICN got the heads up today that the 2nd Tom Yum Goong trailer is online through the official site.

New Tom Yum Goong trailer right here - right now! The link is in Windows Media format and you can find Quicktime on the official site, though I found the sound to be better with WMVA.

What can you expect? Lots of fire. Lots and lots of slow motion ass-kicking. Lots of it. The whole trailer is in slow motion it seems. But the money shot has to be the reverse spin kick to the head. Wait for it!

Yeah, the slow mo is a bit gratuitous, but I love the way he uses his elbow to deflect the sword in mid-air. And that kick to the head... wow... can't wait to see that in realtime.

I'm expecting something special from this. Ong Bak really paved the way and set the standard for unaided martial arts flicks. Lets hope that director Panna Rittikrai has something up his sleeves that the trailers havent shown yet. Ong Bak rates as one of the best martial arts films and i want to see Jaa do more of the same but i also want to see this team push the boundaries of crazy-disregard-for-the-health-and-safety-of-the-entire-film-crew stunts!

That looks ridiculously kick-ass. I just want to know how the elephant fits in.

There was something in the first trailer about a type of soldier that protects the legs of elephants during battle. Elephants being I guess the tank of ancient warfare. They protect the elephants. The elephants stomp the baddies and get you where you want to go in a hurry. I imagine Jaa's character, Kham, is the protector of the little elephant and some jerks steal him and take him to Austraila. Madness ensues.

"I imagine Jaa's character, Kham, is the protector of the little elephant and some jerks steal him and take him to Austraila. Madness ensues." Ah, the simple-yet-beautiful way the world of martial arts movies work.

I'd watch it :)

Have been hoking around on the web, the trailer has been shot in slo mo but the movie itself isnt, its just for effect, still looks amazing, expect the usual lightning fast Jaa. Apparently its not being released until September though, arse to that, bring it forward please!!

And another thing,

Clearly there is a lesson to be learnt here, never ever steal anything from Jaa, his town, or his people, from a statues head to an elephant, he will bring the smackdown on ya!!

Man this looks pretty friggin sweet. Now where is that DVD of Ong Bak for us westerners?

The highlight of the film is the four minutes uncut (non-stopped) fighting between Jaa and about 30 bad dudes....AWESOME!!!
