Atsushi Muroga's YÛSHA NO HIHÔ

yuusha_no_hihou.jpgAtsushi Muroga has directed another Japanese action movie in the Philippines, Yûsha no hihô. The movie stars Hitoshi Ozawa, Mikio Ôsawa, Saori Amakawa, Shû Ehara, and - as is to be expected - Susumu Terajima. G.P. Museum Soft apparently is scheduled to release it on DVD in Japan in August.

I quite enjoyed Score. Muroga is mostly a bad director, but some of his stuff is enjoyable on a guilty pleasure level. This sounds awesome though. You had me at Susumu!!!

I disagree with the statement that he is a "mostly bad
director". I realize that he doesn't always give a much anticipated anecdote or a fully-gratifying "Hollywood-style" follow through to some scenarios- but such aspects of any of his films are- I assure you- a reflection of the constraints he faces from having low production budgets- not his directorship.
