Opening Sequence From Danny the Dog Online

(Posted In)

danny.jpgThis has the look of an 'official' leak to me, but even so I doubt it'll be available for long, so act quickly if you want to see it ...

The opening sequence of Danny the Dog (AKA Unleashed) has turned up online and it includes the entire first fight sequence - almost three minutes of goodness. The video file is a little bit dark but it was definitely taken direct from an official source so it's all crisp and clean. Is it good? Oh, yes. And definitely the most brutal fight sequence I have ever seen Jet Li involved in ... just wait till he starts bouncing the guy's head off the floor ...

Happy times start here.

Thanks to Ian for the link.

Damnnnnn! That is the most intense fight scene of Jet I ever seen yet. I love the part when Jet throws these awesome punch combos into the guys stomach and then three furious left hooks to the face. Oh man, I can't wait to see this movie.

Any questions of how well the action would be done for this movie have been answered. That's one helluva way to open a movie, for certain.

Gents,

Just an FYI, the movie is supposedly much heavier on drama than action. In fact, I heard that the fight scenes are far and few. So, set your expectations lower if you're expecting a bone-crunching fest. Still, I can't wait to see Jet Li in a decently-scripted movie. With the exception of KOTD, all his Hollywood ventures were quite mediocre....and I'm being nice when I say "mediocre"!

Wow... whoever did the sound design/foley for that scene deserves a bonus - the sounds of that fight were as brutal as the action.

And even if the movie is more drama than action, that's fine by me. Makes the action all the more rewarding, and I've always thought Li's acting chops were often underappreciated to begin with.

What a bang to start with.

I really like the part when Jet Li latches onto one of the thugs and begins to use his head to bash the guy's own in and someone else attempts to get a couple free shots. The matter-of-fact-ly way he punches that guy in the face then proceeds to bash in the other's head was simply brutal.
