Here we go with our latest DVD giveaway contest thanks to the good people at Palm Pictures. Up for grabs this time are two copies each of Kiyoshi Kurosawa's Bright Future - my personal favorite of Kurosawa's films - and Takeshi Kitano's Dolls.

This will be a trivia contest once again, with entries accepted here until March 18th. Please label your contest entries clearly.

For the Dolls DVD, answer me this: Takeshi Kitano got his start as part of a comedy duo. Who was his partner?

For Bright Future, answer me this: Bright Future star Joe Odagiri will soon appear in a musical from a revered 1970's era Japanese cult director. Name the director and film.

Read on for the complete rules and regs.

So, what's the catch? Well, there are three, actually.

First, because we'd like to spread the love around a little we're going to institute a 90 day rule. If you have won a contest here at Twitch within the past 90 days you are not going to be elegible to enter. Once your 90 days is up, go ahead and fire away until you win yourself something else.

Second, because this is a contest sponsored by a North American DVD company it will be limited to entries from within North America.

And Third, all entries must be sent in from a valid email address with the understanding that you will be added to Palm Pictures' email list. I want to be very clear here that Twitch does not give away email addresses without your permission to do so and that Palm will, in turn, guard your contact information with the obsessive zeal of a Methodist preacher chaperoning his nubile teen daughter's junior prom. In other words, you aren't going to get spammed. The only extra email you will receive as a result of entering this contest is an occasional message from Palm detailing future theatrical and DVD releases - maybe some music as well - and, really, when you're dealing with a company with as many stellar titles as Palm this is all information you're going to want to have anyway. You can take a look at Palm's privacy policy here if you need more information.

If I didn't know anything about the movie beforehand and saw that cover for Bright Future i'd think the jellyfish at the bottom were ovaries and that it was about the couple on the cover becoming pregnant and it being the guy following them's child.

The coolness of the original cover/poster art was the reason I bought the movie sight unseen.

I'd take a shot at these questions but their too easy :P and I doubt the r1 of bright future will be better then the r2j

The R1's really nice ... and it includes the 75 minute Ambivalent Future doc ...

I've owned "Dolls" for over a year now...I've been meaning to watch it for about as long...Perhaps this is the reminder I needed!
