Ouch! Looks like the last few shreds of subtly from the american remake have been shed from this picture...You can never be sure from a trailer and even less from a TV Spot, but even Hideo Nakata doesn't look like he'll save this one...

Haven't seen them, but the Japanese Sequels are inferior as well? Correct?

The other US trailers are all very subtle and very, very creepy. I just love how this one plays with you a bit.

The Ring 2 gets a bit muddled, yes. Ring 0 is a different director and a very different feel - it's a prequel - but I actually like it quite a lot.
