Wha? Frank Black Starring in Next David Fincher Film?

Okay, I filed away the recent news that David Fincher was in negotiations to helm a film about the Zodiac killer with a grain of salt. I love the guy, but he hasn't had a whole lot of success getting things made of late and, if the rumors are true, he's largely been the author of his own demise thanks to excessive budgetary demands. But this whole Zodiac rumor just got a whole lot more interesting ...

They're not citing a source so I have no way of confirming this or commenting on the reliability of the information, but Dark Horizons has just posted a one line blurb stating that Frank Black (aka Black Francis, aka Charles Thompson aka front man for the greatest rock band that ever lived) is in talks to play the role of the serial killer in question. Does he get to do the soundtrack, too? Please?
