Golden Globe Results

The Golden Globes have just wrapped up and you can see the full list of results here. A bit of a mixed bag for me ... the films I figured would win (Sideways, The Aviator, The Sea Inside) all did, with Clint Eastwood providing the upset win of the night by picking up a best director Oscar. Charlie Kaufmann was overlooked in favor of Alexander Payne and both Clive Owen and Natalie Portman won for Closer. Who says taking your clothes off is a bad career move?

I'm not so interested in the tv side of the awards but I was thrilled to see that Ian McShane won - and very, very deservedly so - for Deadwood, a show that I'm verging on religious fervor for. Seriously, it rules. Season one is out on DVD in February. Get it.
